Kritischer Drittanbieter (CTP)

Externer Dienstleister, dessen Ausfall oder Störung erhebliche Auswirkungen auf den Betrieb, die Finanzstabilität oder die Kunden eines regulierten Finanzinstituts haben könnte.

Context

The CTP regime primarily targets the largest cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Fund managers using CTP-designated infrastructure face indirect regulatory risk. Self-hosted infrastructure is not subject to CTP designation because no third-party provider is involved.
