📖 Glossary

Self-Hosted Infrastructure

Software that runs on servers controlled by the user rather than on a third-party provider's cloud platform. In a self-hosted deployment, the organisation rents or owns the physical servers, controls all access, and maintains full ownership of the data. No third-party SaaS company can access the data.

Context

DiligenceWorks uses a self-hosted deployment model. The platform is installed on servers the fund manager controls — typically rented from infrastructure providers like Hetzner, Vultr, or OVHcloud — rather than running on DiligenceWorks' own cloud.
