13O / 13U Tax Incentive Schemes

Singapore tax incentive schemes for fund management. Section 13O (formerly 13R) applies to Singapore-resident funds; Section 13U (formerly 13X) applies to funds with assets of at least S$50 million. Both provide tax exemption on specified income from designated investments, subject to conditions including genuine economic substance in Singapore.

Context

13O/13U schemes require local business spending of S$200K-S$500K annually as part of the substance test. Technology subscriptions from Singapore-registered providers (such as DiligenceWorks Pte. Ltd.) count toward this spending requirement.
